Conflicted: The Survival Card Game

Made for Preppers and Survivalists

You are the leader of a bugout group. Your decisions matter more than they ever did before.

Can you handle the decisions you’ll face after Doomsday? When civilization and infrastructure are gone, where will you draw the line between your morals and your will to live another day? Most importantly, where will your friends and loved ones who you’ll be spending this difficult time with draw the line for themselves? Conflicted: The Survival Card Game lets you explore your own survival philosophy and that of others.

Know Yourself

Conflicted was designed to help you think about life in a post apocalyptic world. After playing it, you’ll be more aware of your own strengths and weaknesses and areas needing improvement. How far are you willing to go in order to survive, when the choice is life versus your own morals?

Know Your Friends

When you play Conflicted: The Survival Card Game with your friends and family, their answers will tell you all about their philosophy on prepping and survival. What they say or don’t say, their body language – it all matters. You will probably re-think who you’ll bugout with after the first game.

Know Your Enemies

By Playing Conflicted: The Survival Card Game you’ll realize that the thin veil of civilized behavior our current modern society currently portrays is easily torn apart. We all have a breaking point, where our will to live speaks louder than our own morals. That breaking point is at a different place for everyone.

A survival card game designed for preppers and survivalists and those wanting to introduce others to emergency preparedness, Conflicted: The Survival Card Game will give you hours of meaningful discussion while entertaining you and your friends and family. You will be asked to come up for answers to several realistic scenarios which will pull you completely out of your comfort zone, make you think about life without the modern comforts you currently enjoy, and reveal to yourself what kind of person you really are when faced with situations that will either end your life or destroy your moral compass.
There is nothing like this game out there, and that’s why we made it. Once you play you’ll realize why this game will be a favorite among preppers and survivalists everywhere.

An In Depth Explanation About Conflicted: The Survival Card Game

Conflicted: The Survival Card Game is a brand new way for survivalists to share their philosophies about prepping. It’s a game that can be a serious conversation between established prepper groups, or it can be a fun way to introduce someone to the concept of prepping.

Conflicted helps you show other preppers why you are prepping, why your reason for prepping matters, and what your survival philosophy is when choosing life vs your morals.

How did the idea for Conflicted come up

  • Every prepper out there prepares just in case a catastrophic event happens (Economic crash, government take over, epidemics, volcanoes, earthquakes).
  • They are so convinced about that 1 theory and idea, maybe 2 that they devote time and money to getting ready for mainly 1 or 2 events.
  • All that effort is aimed at what event can destroy modern society and lead us into a post apocalyptic world.
  • What very few preppers talk about is what happens after the event that makes the SHTF. What kind of world will we live in? Do we only need a stockpile of food, water and ammo and a safe place? How will the unprepared really behave?
  • We as a community need a way to create meaningful conversations about a future post SHTF, about life in a chaotic world disrupted by a catastrophic event. We need every prepper out there to have a way to weigh in their thoughts on a world post SHTF.
  • Conflicted helps us do just that through a fun game.

How does Conflicted help

Conflicted stirs meaningful conversations among preppers regarding the tough situations we may face in a world after modern society.

“Circumstances don’t make the man, they only reveal him to himself.” ― Epictetus

  • When we are all faced with tough situations, we have an idea of how we are going to act. We tend to think this idea is the way most reasonable people would act as well. The problem is that another person in your prepping group also feels the same way, about a completely different answer to the same question.
  • So depending on how seriously you want to play the game with the other players you can really get into some great discussions and get a feel for what kind of person your friend or family member “really” is before you both are faced with a difficult situation and emotions are running high.
  • Or you can go completely in a different direction and play the game casually with someone who isn’t into prepping at all and then we’re sure that at the end of the gaming session that person will be thinking about becoming a prepper themselves.
  • Most questions arent about the scenario itself, but are about the choice that needs to be made. Where do you and others around you draw the line between your own survival versus your morals?
  • The game will raise an awareness regarding other areas of prepping that perhaps you didnt think about.
  • Practice your barter, negotiating and leadership skills.
  • Realize that the only thing that keeps us in line is a world of illusions and once that is taken away, the great majority of people will default back to their animal instincts.
  • Play the game as seriously as your group can handle, or as casually as you want to introduce someone new to the concept of prepping.
  • See what kind of person you really are when you need to chose between life versus your own moral compass.
  • Conflicted: the survival card game is like a mirror that exposes your real survival philosophy to yourself.

The Future of Conflicted

  • We developed a platform where preppers can submit whatever scenarios they think we’ll face after the SHTF.
  • The prepper community will vote on the best scenarios of the week;
  • We’ll give the winner of the best scenario as much recognition as they want, posting their twitter, website or facebook info on the cards themselves.
  • They will receive gear, praise and other prizes for being selected and be featured on our website, twitter, facebook, podcast, youtube and other media.
  • Every year we’ll publish a game deck with these scenarios submitted by players, plus more decks with other themes such as government take overs, epidemics, economic collapse, etc.
  • We hope that over time every prepper who enjoys playing the game will pick and choose scenarios from all these cards and build a deck of questions that is personalized to their own point of view on prepping, so that they can share that with the other members of their prepping group.
  • We also hope that by having the entire prepper community submit and vote on scenarios (They would only be voting on possible scenarios only, not individual’s answers to the questions from players, that information isnt gathered. We thought about it but after the whole NSA thing we scrapped the idea lol. ) we’ll develop a product that will be of interest to every prepper.

Final Note

Let’s face it, in the event that we come to live in a post apocalyptic world, who will rise as the leader? The answer is, “person the majority of the group is most likely to identify with”, because most people in your group will agree with their survival philosophy. Will that be you? 1. I like the concept of the game and I think that is cool to play in some casual parties, too. Imagine this in a bar, with your closest friends drunk…

I am also excited to play the game. I’m going to use the game to introduce prepping to my friends who are unprepared. Showing up at my doorstep with just the shirt on your back is not a bug out plan. Game ordered!

Just received my Deck of Conflicted today. I am looking forward to seeing how friends and family respond to the questions.
This will be a good tool to have around after SHTF to help size up any who say they wish to join your group.
    Good Job

Got my deck of cards today in the mail! That was really fast delivery. After having read through the cards, my mind is running non-stop of how to figure out a decent answer for most of these. I like the idea of showing them to non-prepper friends so they can understand the seriousness of the probable situations coming and that they had better get prepared themselves and not show up to use my stuff!

I received the 5 decks I ordered for friends and family for Christmas. The game has been a blast to play and everyone has had a good time playing it. My friends that are non-preppers are coming around! Thanks for making such a valuable and inspirational product!

I’ve been prepping for several years. Have tried without success to get family and friends to do the same. I’m very practical in my prepping. Not like some of those folks you see on that crazy Nat Geo show who go to unrealistic extremes. My primary concern is the global financial situation.
I’m well stocked in food, defense, commo, medical and other areas.
I just need something to try to shift the mindset of those I care a great deal about.
    Maybe this will help.
    Just ordered through paypal.
    Thanks,

Unquestionably consider that which you said. Your favourite justification appeared to be
on the web the simplest factor to take into account
of. I say to you, I certainly get irked whilst other folks consider
issues that they plainly don’t know about. You managed to hit the
nail upon the top and defined out the entire thing with no need side-effects
, people can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more.
    Thanks

Love the idea, think its great learning and teaching tool, but……it could open a can of worms you might not plan on.What if your friends or family are offended by your choices.Making the right decision when the shtf is so very important, but telling one of your friends you would let them die is something else.Especially if they think prepping is a joke. Learn all you can from this, but play with caution.I am in no way agaisnt this game I plan on making a purchase in the near future.

Can’t wait to get my order! I and a couple of close friends are working to put together a small “prepper” group and I think this game will be instrumental in vetting those that we are considering to include. We all know that surviving in a post-apocalyptic world can not be done alone and knowing exactly who the people are that we’ve surrounded ourselves with is key to the success of the group now and later. Hopefully, we’ll also be able to influence others who are hesitant to accept that a shift is coming to begin preparing even if they’re aren’t a part of our group. Thanks for developing this tool!!

This sounds like a really interesting way to spend time with my family. Depending on how serious you wish to play, you may want to temper yourself if your friends think it’s a big joke. Of course, if that’s the case you probably wouldn’t want to bug out with those folks anyways so your answers may make them think twice about showing up on your doorstep after SHTF! Ordered mine today!

Ordered these hope to wake up family members to why simple preparedness is important ..we live in a hurricane state and they didn’t even want to order a one month supply of emergency food for their family…

Now THIS is more than just a game, it is a CRUCIAL TOOL!! What a fantastic device to not only introduce friends and family to prepping, but to really find out who thinks what, and to make some of my own decisions regarding who I can, and can’t, count on.

I’ve been prepping for about a decade now, and it’s not so funny that when I try to broach the topic with others how many of them are truly unprepared and really don’t get it.

This is going to be a fantastic tool in the toolbox, as ridiculous as that may sound to some, I am incredibly excited to get started and “play the game” with family, friends, and at the local pubs I frequent. This is a GREAT way to make local contacts and get people on board, while eliminating others, and perhaps even finding out who you may be up against in an unfortunate circumstance!

I just ordered all 3 decks!! This is the tool missing from the box all these years! I am very much looking forward to awakening people to the concept of preparedness, and this is going to be exactly the tool to make it happen!

Thank you for making such a great idea into a reality. Wish me luck! :)

  34. My new cards just arrived in the mail, on my birthday, and they exceed my every expectation. Just sitting here, idly flipping through Deck II, and the questions have put me into a heavily contemplative mood. The questions are VERY thought-provoking, and, in a lot of cases, some serious soulsearching is necessary before giving an answer.

Kudos to you and your staff, JD. Not only did you make today a VERY happy birthday for me, but you have created an excellent game that will serve as both entertainment and education for my group and I for years to come. I look forward to purchasing each of your new decks as they come out!
